Spring Half Marathon 2022

The Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon returned to the Forest on 20 March 2022 after a two year absence due to covid regulations.

The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean, who organized the event, awarded medals to all finishers, and tee shirts for the first 50 over the line. They also awarded winners trophies to:

      Male winners
      1st Ben Robinson of Gloucester AC - 1:10:29
      2nd Lee Gratton of Rugeley Runners - 1:10:52
      3rd Lee Stopford of Stroud & District AC - 1:13:28

      Female winners
      1st Kate Avery of Shildon Running & AC - 1:22:51
      2nd Molly Browne of Birmingham Running Athletics - 1:24:42
      3rd Chelsea Baker - 1:25:08

The first Forest of Dean male to cross the line was Marcus Benedetto in a time of 1:18:45; the first Forest of Dean female was Heppy Hill, 1:34:16.

The Trail Running Association, who have chosen this race to be the British Trail Running Championships - Short Distance event, also provided 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals for both men and women.
