Forest of Dean supports FOAG

Farmers Overseas Action Group (FOAG) are a West Midlands based group who have been active in Uganda for nearly 40 years assisting local farmers. They focus on improving methods of agricultural production, harvesting and storage, achieving significant improvements in food quantity, quality and periods of availability.

FOAG have long been involved in supporting four centres for disadvantaged children – orphaned , disabled or destitute - run by dedicated Catholic Sisters. Again, assistance in food production on land associated with the Homes is being undertaken together with medical and educational help to the best that funding will allow.

The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean is very pleased to have been of some recent financial assistance and to have FOAG as our Linked Charity for our up-coming Spring Half Marathon taking place on 29 March 2020.

Further details can be found on the FOAG website at www.foag.org.
